Pops and Gangang's 50th wedding anniversary was in the summer of 1999 (they were married June 10, 1949). Last time we stayed at The Oaks, in Maryland. Although their 60th anniversary isn't for another year and a half, I've started looking at some places we might go. If we wanted to rent a big house somewhere, we would probably have to reserve it this summer or fall.
But I've been looking around the internet and there are so many places to stay! We need to figure out several things (thanks Lona!):
*location (mid-atlantic, new england, south, etc)
*environment (mountians, beach, urban, rural, resort)
*price range (per person per night)
*time of year (April, May, June, July, August. Lona says we will get "pre-season" prices by going in April...)
*what to do? (do people want to relax the whole time, go on day trips, etc)
*how long?
